A distraught Pakistani woman was seen exposing her cheating husband after turning up at his wedding in a viral video.
The man was marrying a third woman, having first cheated on his wife by marrying another woman. He was then caught cheating on both wives at the third wedding.
The woman was not aware of this and somehow came to know about the ceremony. She decided to go there physically along with her young son to reveal the truth in front of everyone, and informed the guests that he was already married to her.
The event was crowded with guests who had come to enjoy the event, and the wife can be heard disclosing to one of the man’s relatives that this was her husband’s third marriage. She points to her son, indicating that he is the couple’s child, and goes on to label her husband as “shameless.”
The husband then appears visibly embarrassed by the situation and avoids making eye contact with his wife. A relative then suggests that they move to the back to have some privacy to discuss the issue.
While the group proceeds to the backroom, the woman briefly pauses near the front, about to confront the bride, who seems to be completely unaware of the situation. However, she is grabbed by the arm by a relative and directed toward the backroom.
The guests continue to observe the unfolding domestic matter. In the backroom, the wife, who is surrounded only by male relatives, elaborates on her objection to the wedding proceeding. She reveals that her husband is currently married to two women, with her being his first wife. She became aware of the third wedding through a video shared on social media.
She goes on to explain to the group that she had initially been unaware of her husband’s second marriage. It was only after conducting some research that she realised his third wedding was going ahead.
The group appears to acknowledge her statements, with some indicating that they were unaware of the man’s multiple marriages. Throughout this conversation, the husband avoids eye contact and offers only half-hearted attempts to defend himself, indicating his guilt in marrying another woman and proceeding with a third marriage.
Users on social media expressed their disappointment at the situation.
One user wrote: “People in the comments who are defending the actions of this man are exactly like him. No respect for anyone whosoever. Stop using your religion as a shield to do whatever you want. If you can’t see what’s wrong here then you need some serious help.”
Another commented: “Shame utterly disgraceful.”
A third user wrote: “Also, the sad thing is so many women especially in the Muslim community have to go through this. Still their own sons continue to repeat what their fathers must or mustn’t have done.”
In Pakistan, it is legally acceptable to be married to multiple women, but there are specific legal requirements in place. A man who intends to remarry must obtain the legal consent of each of his current wives and demonstrate that he can adequately provide for the well-being of all his wives.
