Artists for Aid takes place this Thursday, July 4th, at London’s Troxy from 7pm to 11pm. The event is held in collaboration with War Child UK, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated towards the charity’s response plan in Gaza and Sudan.
Artists For Aid is a humanitarian aid collective that consists of young artists and musicians, who aim to stand in solidarity with those in need to humanitarian aid. Mustafa the Poet (pictured above) is hosting the event, having already hosting the first Artists For Art earlier this year in New Jersey with acts such as Stormzy, Omar Apollo, Clairo, 080 Shake, and more.
This time however, Mustafa is taking to the stage himself and is joined by artist Blood Orange, American songwriter Clairo, rapper Earl Sweatshirt, producer Nicolas Jaar, rapper & actor Yasiin Bey, home based King Krule will also be playing as well as Daniel Caesar, Bint Mbareh, and Ramy Youssef.
Mustafa, the Sudanese Canadian artist, said on Instagram: “London! Sudan is calling. Sudan is calling. Every artist here is a hero of empathy; thank you for answering our call.
“There is a war; strike a chord, cry an answer.”
Tickets can be purchased at Artists for Aid and Dice from £80.
