Magic of India confirms its annual ‘Holi Colour Dance Festival’ set to take place this year

Magic of India, an organization that offers fun discovery of Indian culture through festive events, activities and school workshops, is organising the ‘Holi Colour Dance Festival’ at the Swiss Cottage Open Space on March 12.
The event will see families from across the UK, who will gather to celebrate Holi – the festival of colours which is observed by millions worldwide. It is set to start at 11 am and will continue till 4 pm.
The outdoor programme saw 2000 people last year and is known to be an ‘Indian multicultural spring carnival’ with traditional Indian and modern Bollywood music to dance to, delicious Indian food, and a fun-filled day with colours that both adults and children can play with.
According to reports, a very large number of locals, including Londoners are drawn to the event every year when cherry blossoms are in full grandeur. It is held in collaboration with
Nicky Ezer and the Camden Events Team where participants from various communities, ages and backgrounds bring the event alive as well.

Director of Magic of India, Geeta Srivastava set up five centres across London in 2013 for children between ages three and 15 years, and help them learn languages such as Hindi or Gujarati as well as about the Indian culture.
She believes that “it’s important to thrive in your own culture whilst integrating with the country where you live.” The social enterprise has over a 100 students including children of British celebrities enrolled. They are assigned specific teachers who give them quality lectures online.
